Product Planning and Strategy
Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity to identify product development opportunities.
Develop product roadmaps and seasonal collections, defining key product attributes, target pricing, and launch timelines.
Collaborate with design teams to translate market trends into product concepts.
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, production capabilities, and ethical sourcing practices.
Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with vendors to achieve cost targets.
Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely production and quality control throughout the development process.
Product Development Execution
Oversee the development of product prototypes, including material selection, pattern making, and fit approvals.
Collaborate with technical design teams to ensure product specifications are accurate and production-ready
Monitor product development timelines and identify potential delays, taking corrective actions as needed.

Costing and Budgeting
Conduct cost analysis on new product designs, considering materials, labor, and overhead costs.
Manage product budgets and ensure profitability targets are met.
Identify cost-saving opportunities throughout the development process.
Quality Assurance
Establish and enforce quality control standards throughout the production process.
Conduct quality inspections on pre-production samples and finished goods
Address quality issues with vendors to ensure product quality meets specifications
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with design, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.

Merchandising
Product sourcing and selection: Identifying and sourcing new products from vendors, negotiating pricing and terms, and selecting product assortments aligned with market trends and customer needs.
Inventory management: Forecasting demand, managing stock levels, optimizing inventory turnover, and minimizing stockouts or overstocking situations.
Pricing strategy: Developing and implementing pricing strategies including promotional pricing, clearance sales, and regular retail pricing to maximize sales and profit margins.
Sales analysis and reporting: Monitoring sales performance, analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities, and generating reports to inform merchandising decisions.
Team leadership: Managing and developing a team of merchandisers, assigning tasks, providing performance feedback, and coaching for optimal results.
Vendor relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely product delivery and competitive pricing.
Market research: Staying updated on market trends, competitor analysis, and consumer insights to inform merchandising strategies.
Job Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Management, or a related field.
- 5-10 years experiences in Merchandiser (Marketing, Brand Management will be plus.), relevant design experience in fashion business, specifically in consumer market
- Strong understanding of fashion trends
- Outstanding ability of product, inventory and brand management
- Strong presentation skills, both in data-driven and creative aspects
- Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented and capable of working under pressure
- Work well in a team, manage relationship with stakeholders across value chain
- Necessary skills and experiences include B2B/B2C market analysis, product design, brand management, collaboration and network with fashion designers
