Job Summary

Provide process engineering consulting and support to process engineers by analyzing and optimizing processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and reduce costs. This includes process design, troubleshooting, process optimization, process analysis, developing process guidelines, quality control, and project management. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement process improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Job Description

  • Monitor and ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently, and within environmental regulations.
  • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts to address plant and production issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Analyze and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance overall plant performance and sustainability.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Maintenance and Operation departments, ensuring optimal equipment performance and process reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement projects and support operational goals, including energy conservation and waste reduction.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing capital projects aimed at process improvement and plant reliability.
  • Develop and maintain process engineering documentation, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and operating procedures for these production lines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation, ensuring that all changes and improvements are well-documented.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance plant performance, reliability, and sustainability.
  • Utilize data analysis and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and track the progress of implemented changes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

0-3 years of experience in process engineering within the chemical or biochemical industry, with specific experience in methyl ester, fatty alcohol, and ethanol production being highly desirable.

Job Qualification

  • Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, including reaction engineering, separation processes, and heat and mass transfer.
  • Knowledge of process safety management (PSM), risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements in the chemical industry.
