Functional Description

• Develop procurement and sourcing strategy for Chemical and Catalyst to maximize corporate benefit according to planned budget and timeline.

• Conduct the implementation of procurement strategic plan and risk management including procurement initiatives, formulation of goals, objectives, and timelines for Procurement to align with corporate objectives.

• Conduct all procurement activities to ensure that the goods and services are procured with appropriate cost, good quality and delivered in time e.g. ISO system, DJSI, Halal, Approve Vendor List (AVL), System (SAP,ARIBA, Digitalization, GRC-PC), knowledge management etc.

• Collaborate with business unit management in understanding requirements, analyzing market and industry conditions.

• Provide data/information and co-ordinate with shipping team to ensureeffectiveness and efficiency of importing and exporting that relate to procured items and services.

• Collaborate with PTT group to drive the group synergy in procurement strategies alignment.

• Relationship Management (Internal Users and Suppliers)

• Establish and lead cross-functional teams to manage the development and implementation of the procurement category strategy and agree the strategy with the Procurement managers and users departments

• Develop supplier relationships and ongoing negotiations, for the procurement category and sub categories, using leading practice procurement tools (such as cost trend analysis, price change analysis and supplier performance reviews) to deliver breakthrough performance in cost, serviceand quality, keep internal customers informed and involved in ongoing supplier management

• Review all procurement processes of purchasing of chemical/catalyst (material handling, transportation, sales, administration etc.) to ensureoptimal level of inventory while maintain enough chemical for production
