Job Description

Job Purpose

Support the formulation and reassessment of the decarbonization strategy and roadmap through research and analysis, ensuring robust governance mechanisms for effective execution. Contribute to the development of enabling tools to facilitate successful implementation of decarbonization initiatives. Additionally, conduct research to identify and explore new business opportunities aligned with the decarbonization strategy, focusing on emerging markets and advancements in sustainable practices.

Accountabilities 

Decarbonization intelligence and PMO

• Monitor and identify gap closing for decarbonization execution
• Support to develop proper support (systems, tools, best practices, manpower & technology) for decarbonization initiatives across GGC
• Support to assess impact (strategically and economically) and ensure proper actions in responding to external factors that impact GGC decarbonization roadmap
• Assist to manage corporate carbon credit to ensure enough credit to accomplish the decarbonization goals, including forestation, trading

New Business Development

• Assist to develop decarbonization technology intelligence and explore new opportunity in decarbonization for GGC aligning with business direction.
• Support or develop market analysis and technology scouting for opportunity area with stakeholders to support business strategy development
• Assist to develop ecosystem with external partner (academic, business, institute and government) regarding to new opportunity in decarbonization (technology, market, law and regulation, policy, intensive, etc.) to drive advocacy

Qualification

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Engineering, Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• At least 0-2 years of experience in decarbonization, sustainability, new business development, strategy development, project management, consultation study, work with industrial associations and government agencies or related field.
